What this covers

This policy explains how Nomado Cars handles the personal data of people who browse nomadocars.com, create a buyer account or order a car. Dealers using the dealer cabinet are covered by a separate policy shown in the cabinet.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number, country and language. Your password is stored only as a hash.
• Orders: the car, the delivery country, the price you saw, your comment and the status of the order, and any inspection you order with it.
• Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, and security logs.
• Settings kept in cookies: your language, delivery country and currency, and a cookie that keeps you signed in.

Why we use it

• To run your account and pass on and process your orders.
• To contact you about your order by phone, WhatsApp or email.
• To keep the site secure and to meet legal obligations.

Who receives your data

• The dealer selling the car. When you order a car listed by a dealer, that dealer receives your name, phone number, email address, country, delivery country and comment so they can contact you. The dealer is an independent business and is responsible for how it uses your data.
• The Nomado Cars team. Our managers handle orders for cars from the marketplaces we display, and can see all orders to help with questions and disputes.
• Inspectors, if you order an inspection.
• Service providers who work for us: hosting and databases, and email delivery.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your data.

Where your data is kept

Our servers are in the European Union. Your data may also reach the country of the dealer selling the car and the countries where we and our service providers work, including China.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and orders while your account is open and for as long as we need them for legal obligations and disputes. A dealer who received your order keeps its copy under its own rules.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it or complain to the data protection authority in your country. To make a request, write to one of our managers listed on the home page.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version here with its date.
